Just recently, the great State and Govenor just announced that recreational cannabis in Florida will be on the ballet this year. All citizens in the state of Florida will get to decide whether they will become a recreational cannabis state or not. Voters will be able to cast their vote November, 2024. This will make a big wave in Florida, allowing anyone over the age of 21 be allowed to purchase and intake cannabis recreationally.
Amendment 3 will allow citizens to use and purchase cannabis freely. This means you will not have to obtain a medical marijuana license or get a referral from a medical. If over 60% of the ballets vote yes for recreational cannabis in Florida, then it will be passed for the following year. Many Florida citizens are relieved that recreational cannabis in Florida is finally one the ballot.
Although there are some mixed opinions, regardless, this law passing on the ballot will boost the economy and popularity on Florida. The market for cannabis in is there and consumers are ready to spend money to get product they can trust and consistent. You also have many travelers that come to Florida year long, enhancing the cannabis market in the state. Just like Colorado attracts thousands of visitors due to being recreational, Florida should see the same numbers, if not more. If the people of Florida get this passed, the future of cannabis is Florida is going to be exciting to watch.
Make sure to mark your calendars for November 2024, this is the time that ballots will be casted. It is up to the people to make sure this bill gets passed so Florida can finally be legal for marijuana purposes. I believe getting this bill passes will also decrease the amount of arrests and people getting served years of their life in prison for simple, unharmful marijuana possession. This will be a great start for the year of 2025 for Florida. Let's make sure we vote in recreational cannabis in Florida!
